I am grateful to Samantha Shao, Xandra Wong and Xinyun Ji, three undergraduate students who took part in the Undergraduate Scholars Programme 2025, for continuing work on the Student-Transcribed Corpus of Spoken American English. Their excellent work has increased the corpus size to over 200,000 words now! Apart from adding new transcripts to the corpus, they also used it to conduct research on variation on indefinite, animate pronouns in -body (e.g., everybody) and in -one (e.g., everyone).
